It's about the incredible Mardan Palace Hotel,
which probably won't be competing in the Old Continent for long.
This hotel has been named the largest and most
expensive in Europe.
Russian billionaire Telman Ismailov has
invested about 1.5 billion euros in the project, and luxury is evident in every
step and in every detail. The hotel has 560 rooms and two royal suites,
including private pools. Interestingly, 2.5 tons of gold, 500,000 crystals and
23,000 square meters of the finest Italian marble were spent on the palace.
The private beach is made of 9,000 tonnes of
silk sand brought from Egypt. The huge swimming pool covers over two hectares
and can be shipped with gondolas.
In the middle of the pool there is an aquarium
of 2,400 fish, including sharks.
The hotel's toilets have mirrors lined with
pure gold. The toilets are controlled with a remote control.
The hotel has 11 restaurants serving
specialties around the world.
Overnight in the most luxurious apartment
costs more than 13,000 euros, and a glass of champagne in this kingdom of
luxury and hedonism costs about 30 euros. In ordinary rooms overnight is about
300 euros per person.
