Matterhorn is a large sharp mountain peak at
4,478 meters above sea level on the border between Switzerland and Italy. As
one of the highest peaks in the Pennine Alps, Matterhorn is also known as Monte
Cervino in Italian or Mont Cervin in French.
This mountain is known for having more than
500 climbers trying to conquer it and dyed because of its steepness and weight.
It was first conquered in 1865. This peak is the most significant peak in the
Swiss Alps and although not the highest, it is still a major challenge for all
climbers.
