5 famous movie attractions in New York

More than a hundred films and series have been shot in New York. Here's your chance to get to know the five most important places in New York through films that  at these locations were filmed.

Here are some of the Big Apple locations that are almost inevitable for both visitors and filmmakers:

The Adjustment Bureau - Brooklyn Bridge

The bridge connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan is one of New York's biggest symbols. The walk across the bridge provides a great view of the skyscrapers and the New York City Financial Center, but not to neglect the very construction of the bridge that was completed in the distant 1883. It is 1,825 meters long, with around 150,000 cars passing through it every day. The middle part of the bridge is reserved for pedestrians and cyclists.

I Legend - Washington Square Park

In this film, Will Smith spends his time in Washington Park, located within the beautiful Greenwich Village. The park was recently restored for a staggering $ 16 million dollars. Most of the buildings around it belong to New York University, and a special attraction is the triumphal arch built in honor of George Washington. The park is a center of cultural events and a favorite gathering place for young people.

Die Hard 3 - Central Park

Over a hundred large movie scenes have been filmed in Central Park, and the most famous is the one in which Bruce Willis takes a taxi through the park to reach the finish line and save the world. However, "New York Lungs" are not intended for car racing, but for sports activities, concerts and peaceful walks. If you have the time, explore the lesser-known northern part of this green oasis.

Black Swan - Lincoln Center

Although most of the scenes in the Black Swan Oscar winner take place between the four walls of the ballet hall, the scenes filmed in the open are not to be underestimated. The Lincoln Center houses cultural institutions such as the Metropolitan Opera, as well as numerous other small and large theaters and concert halls. The promenade and facade have also been recently restored.

Ghostbusters 2 - The Statue of Liberty

Visiting New York would not be complete without a visit to the Statue of Liberty. Lady Liberty has been in the same place since 1886, and tourists can view it with boat tours. In2012, access to the interior of the statuue was not allowed due to renovation.
