Beyond the city's asphalt, this place is a
true paradise for wine, nature and peace lovers. Located west of Demir Kapija, North Macedonia
and easy to find because the road to there is marked.
It derives its name from the once important Popova
Kula(priest’s tower), which once served as a checkpoint on the old Roman Road
that used to be where today's winery is located.
Unfortunately, the tower was destroyed, but
the look of the winery is immediately apparent from where it was inspired.
Except you can spend a weekend at the hotel
(interestingly the rooms are arranged according to different types of wine and
named after Popova Kula's wines. The reds are arranged in red Bordeaux, white
in golden yellow tones) here you have the opportunity and more to get to know
the surroundings.
If you would like to get a guided tour, be
sure to log in before leaving home. Its the same and if you want to dine in the
gorgeous restaurant where you can taste wines in combination with different
types of cheese or try out delicious specialties and desserts.
The staff is very kind and you can ask them freely
about anything you care about - how the wine is done, what grapes are used for,
which wine combines best, they will openly advise you. As you dine in the
restaurant, you will always feel the wind chill which makes the visit even more
enjoyable especially on warm days.
After lunch, be sure to consider to visit the
winery. The guide will tell you in more detail how the grapes are produced, how
the wine is stored, how it is made ...
