Bukovets spice DIY

Bukovets-spice or Bukovets-salt, it is called both ways, it's a spice or seasoning from Macedonian origin.It's made in Macedonia. It got it's name Bukovets by the village of Bukovo near City of Bitola famous by it's red peppers. Bukovets salt is made throughout the country and not only from Bukovo red peppers.You can make it on your own in your home, it's simple.The spice can be made from hot or sweet red peppers.All you need is:

-Red paprika (hot or sweet)
-Dry mint
-Dry sweet clover
-Coarser salt

Put the peppers in the oven to bake.
Take them out and put them in a mortar and pestle.
Add smashed dry mint and sweet clover.
Add coarser salt.
Mash well and mix the mixture.
The peppers are mashed together with the seeds.
The mixed mixture is the finished homemade Bukovets salt or spice.
It has a wonderful aroma of mint and sweet clover.

The Bukovets spice can be added as a seasoning to many foods , or can be eaten only with homemade hot bread and sheep's white cheese.
