Church St. John of Kaneo

The church of St. john of Kaneo is a very beautiful church in the city of Ohrid Macedonia . It is Placed on a rock above the lake shore.It is build in the end of the 13 th century.The church is constructed in the shape of  a cross,it is said that the architect was under the influence of the Armenian architecture . The church is renewed in 14 th century before the coming of the Turks in the Balkans.It is neglected during the ottoman period,but rebuild again in the 19 th century.There are very beautiful frescoes some are remained from the construction of the church.
It is a place worth visiting.
