National park Galicica
The National park Galicica is pronounced as a park in 1984.It's located between the Ohrid and Prespa Lakes , Macedonia.The total area of the park is 227 km2.The biggest peak is called Magaro on 2254 m.The lush flora and fauna, makes this park the most attractive place to visit in the country.

The flora of Galicica National Park is represented by over 800 species, many of which are relicts and endemics, whose ultimate limit of distribution is precisely Mount Galicica. The 11 local endemics that can be found exclusively on the slopes of Galicica are remarkable, which is a clear proof of the specific floristic composition of this mountain.

Galicica's fauna is also rich and diverse. 'The invertebrates are represented by 170 species of which 10 amphibians, 18 reptiles, 124 birds and 18 mammals.


Apart from the special natural beauty and aesthetic values of Galicica, it is characteristic that it is a space with ecological integration of higher order and with still well preserved natural vegetation in some ecosystems.

The park has many mountain bike tracks and its also popular for paragliders.
It has many monasteries and churches to visit like:Monastery St Naum,cave church St Stefan, and the Prespa lake island Golem Grad.
Galicica(Galichitsa) it's a place worth visiting.
